
Rita Jerónimo is Deputy Director-General of Cultural Heritage responsible for Museums, Palaces and Monuments.
She holds a degree in Social Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Anthropology in Heritage and Identities, having completed the coursework component of the PhD in Anthropology: Politics and Images of Culture and Museology.
She worked in the Cultural Heritage area of the Municipality of Odivelas and in the Regional Directorate for Culture of Lisbon and Tagus Valley.
She coordinated and participated in several heritage and museum projects as well as in numerous sessions/courses on Intangible Cultural Heritage, as a teacher.
She joined the Office of the Minister of Culture as Specialist Technician in Museums and Cultural Heritage.
Author of scientific articles on anthropology and intangible cultural heritage.
