Clara Frayão Camacho is a museologist and a senior official at the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage.
She was the coordinator of the Future Museums Project Group (2019-2020), reporting to the Minister of Culture.
She has a PhD in History, with a thesis in Museum Networks and Accreditation.
A European Overview, and a master’s degree in Museology and Heritage.
She was Director of the Municipal Museum of Vila Franca de Xira (1983-1999) and has worked in the museums and heritage institutions of the Ministry of Culture since 2000: she was Coordinator of the Portuguese Museum Network and Deputy Director of the Portuguese Institute of Museums.
She was a professor of master’s degrees in Museology, is a researcher at the Institute of Art History/FCSH-NOVA and participates in European and Ibero-American working groups.
